A community platform for elderly people to share their stories and experiences, making them accessible to younger audiences interested in their own or other cultures. This platform aims to preserve habits, traditions, and beliefs, fostering intergenerational connection and cultural continuity.
Target Audience / Persona
The target audience is divided into two main categories.
Firstly, immigrants aged 35 to 60 who live far from their home countries. These first-generation immigrants grew up with their own traditions and beliefs, which they carried with them when they moved. They have valuable stories to share with their children (second and third generations) and with others from different countries who share similar experiences, offering unique perspectives from different cultural angles.
Secondly, the second and third generations of immigrants aged 18 to 35 have inherited many of their parents’ traditions, advice, and beliefs. They are eager to learn more about their cultural roots and to share and compare their experiences with friends from diverse cultural backgrounds. This is the primary target audience for the community here in Canada, where this application will begin its journey before expanding globally.

Visual Direction of Illustrations
The core idea is “the way of looking,” expressed through consistency across all illustrations and icons on the website. I used a unified viewing angle with a two-point perspective to visually connect all elements, creating harmony and making each object easily recognisable at first glance.
